The Classic Buckskin

Tied in sizes 14-22, this is a 70's classic that still tricks even the weariest trout time and time again all over the world. I have personally caught trout in something like 15 different states from Maine and Massachusetts to Colorado(its birthplace) and California. As with most sub surface flies I tend to run this one in a dropper rig configuration on a simple dead drift. This pattern imitates caddis larvae, is tied with a tail in the larger sizes, and sometimes sports a glass bead head instead of the traditional weighted bead head. I love this simple little pattern and have caught many a quality trout on this one.
